No matter what reason you’ve decided to wear European hair wigs, it’s understood that you want them to look as beautiful and natural as possible. European wigs, unlike other mass-produced synthetic wigs, are constructed carefully and intricately, with the most advanced techniques. Thanks to the supreme attention to detail they are already, well on their way to looking like your original hair. But everyone’s faces and bodies are different, and what looks natural on a wig stand or model, may not look quite as nice on you when you bring it home. If you have recently purchased a human hair wig and want to make it look more like you, here are a few simple tips to make that happen. 1) Take your wig into the salon to get a trim. Sometimes all a human hair wig needs to look its best is a little trim. A hairstylist can trim it up while you’re wearing it to ensure that the new cut goes well with your face shape. A new cut for a wig can really go a long way and add a lot of versatility when it comes to styling. If there’s a certain kind of style you like, but can’t find a wig that mirrors it, you can also buy a longer wig and bring in a photo of the look you’d like. The stylist will then try channel that image to your new wig. 2) Invest in some accessories. Accessories like hats, scarves, clips and barrettes are all great ways you can feel more confident your human hair wig looks natural. You’re European hair wigs will feel more and more like the real thing when you utilize some accessories. Changing up your look is not only a great way to look more natural, it is a great way to have fun with your wig and personalize it. 3) Use brushes and combs specifically designed for wigs. It’s more common than you’d think that someone would try and use a regular brush on their human hair wig. That is extremely detrimental to health and longevity of your wig’s style. European hair wigs are weaved intricately and using a non-wire brush can give you a tangled mess. In addition to wire wig brushes and combs, you can invest in a hot comb. These are great for even you want to put a little wave in a straight style or touch up your wigs curls. 4) Wash your wig with specially formulated shampoos and conditioners. European hair wigs require special attention when it comes to washing. You probably won’t need to wash it as frequently as you would your regular hair, but no matter how frequently you plan on washing it, you should be using shampoo and conditioner for wigs only. Sometimes, conditioners for wigs often tend to be leave-in conditioners that spray. These are lightweight and can give your human hair wig that extra shine and bounce it needs after a wash. Cream conditioners can sometimes weigh the wig down and give it a greasy look if you use too much, so if you decide to go with the cream, use it sparingly.
