Do you enjoy spending time outdoors? With a few simple pieces you can create the country feel you love in your outdoor spaces. Your home is your hideout from the world. Furniture - Having a place to sit is part of the relaxation you look forward to often. Swings and rocking chairs were once found on most front porches. They come from a time when family gathered to share their day. Adding these to your outdoor area will give people a place to come together and share their lives. Name and Number - Having your address number or your name on your house makes it easier to find. Why not do it in a decorative manner with engraved rocks or numbers painted on a plaque with a picture in the background. You can also get flags or mailbox covers created with your house number or name on them. Plants - Whether you have a garden, a flower garden or plants in planters that you take out of your house when the weather allows, why not dress up what you place them in? Benches with holes in the seat to put your plants or flowers are a beautiful addition to any outdoor area. Crocks are also a great way to display your plants or flowers. Floors - If you have a floor in the area you are gathering you could place a decorative indoor/outdoor rug. You might also decide to paint a pattern in the shape of a rug. If you're in a grassy area then stepping stones come in a wide array of colors and shapes and make a beautiful addition to your outdoor décor. Walls - If you're on a porch or a patio the walls are a great place to decorate. You could place a wreath that you could change out items on it for the season or holiday. Flags are a great way to display your feelings or the time of year. You might have a collection of bird houses or wind chimes that would make a great conversation display. Barn Stars are also a favorite of country decorators. Fire ring - Maybe you like to sit and relax in your outdoor area. A fire ring or fire pit creates a relaxing atmosphere. Just sitting around a fire for hours can give you a sense of peace and tranquility not found anywhere else. Solar - These days you can find just about anything that is solar powered. You can find solar powered bug zappers and solar powered yard stakes to light up a pathway. There are more garden statues, large and small, available to you in just about any shape you can think of. Now that you have a few great ideas, go ahead and get your outdoor area decorated and invite your friends and family over for a memorable time of conversation and relaxation.
