Manchester is one of the most vibrant cities in United Kingdom. Anyone moving here falls in love with its natural setting and creative energy. A City Centre living in Manchester provides easy access to everything that has made Manchester, a Gamma city. It is the only city which supports not only the most celebrated premier league club, Manchester United but also the richest, Manchester City. The low rise red brick Victorian buildings have been a hallmark of Manchester. Recently, a 1.5 billion renovation of central business district has vastly expended retail and living space, promoting many celebrities to relocate, here.

Attractions

Manchester Town Hall is considered to be one of the most significant historical buildings in entire Europe. It dominates Central Square with beautiful Victoria Station, nearby. Likewise, Heaton Park is an award winning horticultural recreational facility spread over 600 acres, making it the largest municipal park in United Kingdom. Actually, Manchester has 135 parks and public spaces which are dually supported by a network of canals, passing through the city. It is also the first city in England which has a modern light rail network, connecting all the major parts of Manchester.

Just like London, Manchester has its own Manchester Eye. Although it is not as high as the one in London but it dwarfs most low lying structures in its vicinity. There are many world class museums which mostly highlight textile revolution, women suffering, trade unions and football, issues. The City Art Gallery and Museum of Science and Industry are well known for their unique collections. The largest China Town in UK is also located in Manchester.

Nightlife

For music enthusiasts, MEN arena is not only the largest but busiest music venues, ahead of Madison Square Garden, in New York. After sunset, entire town burst from an active nightlife which contains more than 500 licensed establishments catering to the needs of more than 250,000 visitors. This nightlife supports over 12,000 jobs and generates more than 100 million, every year.

Living Costs

To compensate for shortage of living space in downtown Manchester, City Government has been actively promoting the development of residential complex. It is not surprising that the tallest building in Manchester, the 20 story Beetham Tower, mostly contains residential apartments. Due to an increased living space, the prices of most new high rise apartments are comparatively lower than most other downtown apartments in London, Birmingham Liverpool and Glasgow. The city centre also contains many super stores of well known chains like Armani, DKNY, Harvey Nicholas and Chanel, among others. Historically, the downtown has always been a retailer's paradise therefore it is not difficult to find very good deals on clothing from a variety of competing brands. Manchester buses are known for their quality and cheap prices. Residents can go anywhere within the city for as little as 50p.
