There are people that just love to travel to new places, and starting a themed bracelet with charms to remember those travels is a great ideal. Travel themed bracelets can feature silver charms or gold charms from areas that the individual has traveled. It can also be a wonderful way to bring back a present from areas where you may have traveled as a gift for a loved one.

One reason why travel charms are such a great tradition to collect or to give is because they are typically available no matter where you may travel. There are also a variety of different types of charms, perfect for giving to family or friends to add to their collections of travel charms.

Variations of travel charms can include the actual mode of transportation itself such as an airplane, train or even a boat to symbolize an ocean cruise. Landmarks and famous locations with a city or country are also wonderful additions for silver or gold charms on any bracelet.

When going to a very historic or well-known travel designation finding charms that symbolize the most famous attraction or landmark is both interesting and fun. Consider charms such as the Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa or even the Golden Gate Bridge as ideal symbols of some vary popular destinations for business or pleasure travel.

General themes or charms that focus in on what the country or area is known for are also possible considerations. For France you may choose a wine bottle or for a trip through the Egypt you may wish to consider an elegant pyramid symbol. Flag charms are very popular and make a wonderful addition to a bracelet that boasts international themed charms.

Other symbols of countries, states, provinces or areas could also be included in a travel themed collection of charms. Silver charms of state or country birds, animals, plants or flowers combine more than one theme on the same bracelet.

Of course all the events leading up to the travel could also be included on the bracelet. An example of these types of charms could be passport charms, taxi charms or even a small replica of your luggage.

Adding different types of charms to a collection of travel charms allows for a lot of creativity. You may wish to select some in silver and some in gold for a very versatile type of jewelry accessory. Keep in mind that you can start simple with local travel charms then move to more exotic charms as you head out on business or vacation trips.
