Obesity Dangers Highlighted by Doctors

The dangers of being overweight have been explained by a team of doctors after internal images of an obese woman were released.

The Daily Mail published an image of a women weighing over 17 stone, which was taken by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRIRI) scanner in order to expose the effects of obesity in graphic detail.

Professor Jimmy Bell from Imperial College, London, orthopaedic surgeon Mike Hayton and consultant radiologist Waqar Bhatti, both of Alexandra Hospital, Manchester was on hand to tell the newspaper how obesity can damage a person's well being.

Breathing will be more difficult because of excess fat in the abdomen which can result in a lack of energy, a vulnerable immune system and high blood pressure, explained Dr Bhatti.

"Any fat in the abdomen will push up into the lungs when the person lies flat. This will cause breathlessness even when lying down," he told the newspaper.

Professor Bell described the cardiological dangers affecting obese people as significant because the heart enlarges in order to respond to the increased strain that weight is putting on the body.

An enlarged heart will not be able to pump effectively and will result in shortness of breath and fatigue.

Professor Bell told the Mail "'Excess fat is more worrying when it's found around the organs, where it's known as visceral fat. This can be toxic and poison you from within."

The British Heart Foundation claim that at least four per cent of deaths in the UK every year are due to heart failure.

Despite the dangers of obesity, Professor Bell advised people who are overweight that it is never too late for them to improve their health with a good diet and plenty of exercise.

Health expert John William has advised people who are looking to lose weight to try supplements like t5 slimming pills if they notice no change in their body following a regime of diet and exercise.

Products such as t5 slimming pills and t5 fat burners can assist people who want to lose weight as long as they continue to eat healthily and exercise on a regular basis.

The supplements act as an appetite suppressor which helps to stop the untimely habit of eating food and can help people to feel full.

T5 fat burners increase a person's metabolism by helping it to burn more calories than usual rate and this ultimately leads to weight loss.
