Sprint Cell Phones: Helping Stop Those Annoying Robocalls.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has decided to ban robocalls also known as pre-recorded commercial calls. Violators of this new law and ban could face fines as high as $16,000. But it is only commercial solicitations that are a part of the ban, warnings and reminders from companies that a customer might have will not be banned. For example, a robocall from the bank stating that an overdraft charge has occurred will be exempt from this ban.

Telemarketers, knowing this day would come, have already begun phasing out their robots and replacing them with live callers. So while the nuisance may remain it is still somewhat of a win for landline and Sprint Cell Phones users alike. Those customers who are bothered by any solicitation, robot or otherwise, can always have their number put on the National Do Not Call Registry list. This will eliminate the problem completely.

The great thing about Sprint cell phones is that you can already screen your calls and any unavailable, unknown or blocked out numbers, unless expected, can be screened by the user at their discretion. However it is still nice to know that the government has listened to the people, and while in the grand scheme of things it is not a big deal, it is still nice to know that our voice was heard. Jon leibowitz, the Federal Trade Commission chairman had this to say on the matter: "American consumers have made it crystal clear that few things annoy them more than the billions of commercial telemarketing robocalls they receive every year." That is well said and very true.

So while smartphone innovation continues to be the main talk of the Sprint cell phone world it is nice know that the cellular community has a whole is moving forward, becoming more progressive and making the cell phone industry the way we want it. It is being molded in our hands as we speak, and if we speak, we can continue to mold it. There is a reason the cell phone industry went from cell phones to smart phones, because the numbers and the people showed the companies something evident. The people want smart phones. Now, that is what we are getting. So keep speaking up so that we can guide this technological ship the direction we see most fitting. That way we can have a direct influence and make the best choices for our immediate future, which is what we all want, right?
