Are you one of the 98% of the population that avoids a career in sales? More then likely you are and its no reason considering the dropout rate of most sales positions. Its not an easy life, but on the other hand it can also be the most rewarding career you will ever be involved in. Read on to learn more. That number shouldn't surprise you since people in general hate to sell. The fear of rejection is so strong 98% of the population choose to stay away from this field. It doesn't have to be this way and we hope to break down a few things for you that might make you reconsider starting a part time business. Once I discovered the secret to selling it made my decision to start a business with a great MLM company a whole lot easier. After being involved in several different fields for the last 35 years including Aviation Maintenance, Restaurant Industry, Law Enforcement and several other odd jobs I branched out into to the world of sales. You can look at sales in two ways; either sales is very rewarding or it's the most dreaded profession on earth. The constant rejection can play on you and hence the reason why so many people give up before they experience real success. If you are entertaining the thought of trying sales as a either a career change or to start something up on the side then a few quick tips to consider should save you a lot of heartache later. Being involved in two different sales positions I believe I can speak from experience on just how effective this strategy is. First and foremost you should always consider a position in sales selling a product that people need. This might sound obvious, but you would be surprised how many people sell products that people don't actually need every single day. The real secret is to offer consumers an opportunity to switch to a different product that you know will out perform their current product. Approaching someone with an idea or product that you know is good, but might not be something your prospect needs can be very stressful and not the most comfortable position to be in. And this is why most people step away from sales. A future or even a part time business doesn't have to be this stressful. Concentrate on offering a product or service that you know people can't live without. Sales is very rewarding especially once you establish a nice base of customers. Having a substantial amount of consistent customers accomplishes two things for your business. Having a solid base of customers will not only give you repeat business, but also a steady referral of new clients. There are hundreds of MLM companies out there, however only a handful are worth considering because they offer you a real chance to make some money. It's not that all the other MLM companies aren't worth a look, but most don't have enough things going for them that will make your effort worthwhile. Look for a solid company that offers you the option to open up additional accounts (other businesses) that can sell your products and you earn commissions from. These are the best MLM companies to be involved with. If you like the concept of a low start up business, but hate the idea of having to sell the business opportunity then you should consider working with a company that allows you to make an income without ever having to sponsor anyone. With this information you can put some if not all your fears of starting a business. It just takes a plan and a solid product that everyone uses and you can be well on your way to having your own business.
