Chinese New Year is more than just one day and it actually has a different date each and every year. This is because Chinese New Year is actually on the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar, which is different than the traditional western 12 month calendar. Generally the celebration is between the middle of January and the middle of February in most years. There are actually several different events, including the Spring Festival celebration that actually occurs during this time.
