We all at some point in our lives desire to live the kind of action packed life that the military has to offer. Ability to be involved in such life threatening operations and visit various parts of the world must be extremely exciting. However, for most of us this remains a total fantasy never to be realized. For the tough heated who are willing to hold on to their dream of ever tasting this action, there are games that offer an alternative that is safe yet just as exciting like Call of Duty 2. There may be no real casualties left nor is the preparation and training at boot camp levels but the desired purpose is served. Call of Duty 2 or COD 2 is set in World War Two with the game being designed on the basis of perspectives drawn from four military personnel. Sergeant John Davis and tank commander David Welsh are two soldiers from the British who were part of these. The other two are Corporal Bill Taylor from the US army and Private Vasili Kosloy from the Red army of the Soviet Union. Depending on the chosen campaign, the players get to experience battle from the perspective of these war heroes. You can use the wide variety of weapons and equipment made available for the different campaigns and as per the given map. As would be expected, COD 2 makes it hard to win and the battle becomes tougher as the player advances in the game. A COD2 gaming server can host up to sixty four players and so the player can choose to either be part of a team this big or play individually. Players can choose one among the five game plays available on COD 2 for both individual as well as multiplayer options. One among these game plays is Capture The Flag or CTF where the players are mainly supposed to win over the opposition, capture their flag and bring it home. You need to practice caution, have speed and an excellent strategy to play this game well. Team Death Match is the next game play on Call of Duty 2 servers. This simply involves killing anyone who is in the opposing army. The best strategy to use in this game is using force effective enough to wipe out as many of the opposing army soldiers as possible. The other three game plays that are available on COD 2 servers are the Death Match, Search and Destroy as well as Headquarters. Knowing the maps as well as hiding places is very important in all these different game plays. Every objective and given map defines the best and most effective strategy to use. It is also important to know the rules of the server hosting you so that you can maximize on cheats that are allowed while minimizing on penalties. COD 2 offers a great deal of entertainment for gamers with a wonderful mix of challenge, excitement, surprise and fun. You can term yourself a war champion once you master the twenty one maps, four campaigns and five game plays.
