You can only say you've been to London when you've visited the city's most famous tourist attractions. The Thames River is south of this tower. The Tower has served many purposes over the years. Since 1303, it has been the home to the Crown Jewels. It has also been used as a palace, a prison, a fortress, an observatory and has been home to the Royal Mint, the public records office, and a place of execution and torture. Legends also say that it is haunted by the ghosts of Anne Boleyn and Queen Elizabeth I.

The Tower Bridge is also a famous tourist spot. You shouldn't confuse this with the London Bridge of nursery rhyme fame. The Tower Bridge is actually made up of two towers tied together, connecting the two sides of London. The London Eye should likewise be on your itinerary. Th London Eye is located on the banks of the River Thames and is the tallest observation wheel in the world. You can enjoy the panoramic views of London through the London Eye. Of course you shouldn't go on this if you have a fear of heights. The entire rotation takes around a half hour to finish. It has attracted thousands of tourists daily. When visiting London, there are a lot of sights to see. Obviously this is not a comprehensive list of such attractions. You can even take a train or a bus out of London to places like Bath, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Stonehenge. The possibilities are endless.
