The history of any invention is a fascinating study in the evolution of human ingenuity, application, and revolution. From cars, to airplanes, to modern inventions like the desktop computer and the Internet, they all seem to go through a similar growth curve, where new ideas are shaken out and replaced by more useful and efficient ones. The first stage is the invention of the new technology itself. Not quite ready for the general masses, it starts out in prototype form. The Wright brothers airplane is a classic example. They by no means intended to sell flying machines, only prove that it could be done. Once they showed the world that a human could fly like a bird, that's all it took for industry to take over and guide to the convenience of international air travel that we enjoy today. The automobile is another similar story. It wasn't until Henry Ford designed the assembly line to make cars affordable for the average person did they come as ubiquitous as they are now. Prior to that breakthrough, they were extremely expensive to make, and had all kinds of different engines and other parts. The first models of automobiles had many different kinds of engines, from steam, to electric, and others. Ford opened the door for everybody to buy and drive their own car when he standardized everything. The Internet is another great example. When it was first created, it was merely a prototype to be used between a few professors to share their research. Sending things electronically was much better than relying on the Post Office, which sometimes could take weeks. One wonders if they really had in mind what the Internet would later turn into. Pretty soon, people were using the Internet for entertainment as well as the simple sending and receiving of information. It has quickly evolved in the cornerstone that it is today in the lives of so many. Several countries have recently conducted surveys of their citizens, and many of them feel that the Internet is a basic human right. Of course, just like with any other growing invention, there are several downsides. With airplanes and automobiles came the dangers of crashing. The dangers of surfing the Internet indiscriminately are that you may pick up spyware and adware, which can have a serious effect on your computer speed. In order to be able to sufficiently protect your computer against spyware and adware, it is highly suggested that you have a comprehensive anti spyware adware removal software on your computer. That way you can be assured that you will stay safe and happy.
