Society Is Currently Going Through A Revolution Not Seen Since The Invention Of Agriculture

There is a revolution happening around the world today. It started several years ago, and will continue to grow and change and shape the way we view society. This age, known as the information age, will be forever remembered by historians as one of the major shifts in the way humans live on this planet. With the massive growth of the Internet, and the many ways that people can share information, this is a great time to be alive on this wonderful planet.

The last major similar shift in society that had this much impact on humanity was the invention of agriculture. Before the invention of agriculture, men and women had to hunt for food, and always be moving around. If they stayed in one place, they would soon die. People lived together in groups of fifty to a couple hundred, and the division of labor was clearly separated between men and women.

Then when agriculture was invented, people could stay in one place. For many generations. The division of labor became less defined by gender. Women could farm just as well as men. And one other thing emerged with the ability to till the land. The ability to amass wealth. You became wealthier as you controlled more farmland. As you increased your wealth, you could naturally increase your farmland. This was simply not possible in the hunter gatherer society.

Then in the industrial age, the division of labor slowly shifted back to the way it was before. Most jobs required physical strength and stamina, and were held, for the most part, by men. Only during major wars did women take on jobs that were traditionally male jobs.

That, however, is changing in today's world. Information is the wealth building substance of today. And as more and more people are using the Internet to communicate, it is becoming a larger and larger cornerstone of everyday business. So much so that people are amassing a significant amount of wealth on the Internet, just like the farmers of the early agricultural societies. And on the Internet, anybody can get rich. Man, women, even kids are figuring out how to make money online.

One of the best skills to have today would be Internet marketing skills. Even if you never intend to make a full time living online, it would be a good idea to at least learn the basics, so this latest revolution that will be remembered by human history does not pass you by. One thing you must do is to always protect yourself from spyware and adware. Those two evil twins can destroy a fledgling Internet business before it ever has a chance to get off the ground.
