If you invest in the stock market, then you're surely looking for ways to make money from your investments. Even with the financial downturn we experienced recently, there's no arguing that it's an exciting and worthwhile to make money. Today we look at how you can use value investing techniques to profit from the markets. Warren Buffet is a classic example of a well known investor who is labeled as a "value investor". He has had an uncanny ability to analyze company's financial records and pick out businesses that gave him a high chance of making money from his investment. It's all a matter of probabilities. If you have a greater chance of making money than you do of losing the same amount, then you will profit in the longrun if you make enough of these investments. There's a lot of money to be made if you take the right steps. And a lot of money can be made by investing in the areas that many other people are simply too scared to enter. A perfect example of this is penny stocks. Here's an investment type that many people simply fluff off as being too risky instead of actually taking a look at investment opportunities. And they could be leaving a lot of money out there for other investors! Remember, stock prices are a result of supply and demand. If there are more buyers than sellers, than prices go up. If you can find yourself holding a stock where all of a sudden there are more buyers than sellers, you can make a huge profit. Now, since so many people are scared of penny stocks, they will often stay "cheap" until the company gets noticed. And when things start going well for the company, the price can rally huge since the demand for the stock spikes up. This presents you with an amazing opportunity to cash in. Penny stocks shouldn't be always frowned on - they can make you a lot of money. In this case, you might even lose your money on two investments, however the third more than makes up for your losses. When you hit a winner it can be a huge payday. Penny stocks are an exciting way to make money in the markets. Look for a company with strong management, a business idea that has longterm appeal and one with financials that appear to be sound.
