In fact, injuries even occur in the office and in other seemingly safe places. Tripping, slipping and falling happen all the time, and polished concrete floors with non-slip additives can help. How To Incorporate Non-Slip Flooring Into The Workplace: Many companies these days choose polished concrete instead of timber, tiles or other materials simply due to it's durability and aesthetic beauty. As attractive as polished concrete may be, though, there's no question that it can be a bit slippery. Allowing your employees to carry out their business on potentially slippery floors is never a good idea. Favorably, it is easy to include non-slip additives to polished concrete flooring. This makes it safe for all. Minimise The Risk Of Injuries: When people slip and fall, injuries can happen. When employees are in a rush, they often run; trying to keep people from running is a futile exercise, and it's always better to design safe, non-slippery floors instead. Polished concrete that has been enhanced with non-slip additives is a wonderful choice, because it allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. The floors around your workplace will look visually stunning and will last for years and years - but they'll also be safe for people to walk and run on. Why Risk An Injury?: Crossing your fingers and hoping that no accidents will occur in your workplace is a foolhardy thing to do. As a conscientious employer, it is imperative to make sure that safety is a top priority at all times in your workplace - and concrete floors with non-slip additives are some of the easiest ways to do that. From a cost perspective, concrete floors are wonderfully economical, too. The inclusion of the non-slip additive won't increase the invoice by much, so it is an easy and clear choice to make. The reassurance that injuries will be kept to a minimum should be reason enough to make this move. Keep Everybody Safe: Since polished concrete is so attractive, it is a wonderful addition to virtually any workplace. The only real drawback to it is that it can be a bit slippery, and non-slip additives easily eliminate that concern. You'll notice right away, upon walking on it, that the concrete "catches" on your shoes more easily. While it certainly doesn't impede your progress, it is a reassuring feeling to have underfoot. In the long run, you're bound to find that the peace of mind that non-slip additives bring are well worth it.
