A number of elements go into creating a nursery environment that's pleasing to you and stimulating for your baby. The major component of a successful design is the overall theme of your nursery, and integral to the theme is your choice of baby bedding. You may want to start with a theme and then choose your nursery bedding or look for bedding that you like and build your theme around it. Designer crib bedding is created with babies in mind. There are huge varieties of colors, styles, and designs available for baby bedding today. Both infants and toddlers are intrigued with bright colors and interesting designs - and you can be, too. Owning a wide variety of bedding is a great way to intrigue your baby's imagination and keep you feeling great every time you go into the nursery. What Theme Should You Focus On? Baby bedding themes can run the gamut from storybook characters to jungle themes, from animal prints to Disney's movie designs, and more. Let your imagination run wild when you choose your baby's bedding. Look for designs that will stimulate young and inquisitive minds. It could be images of ladybugs or fire trucks, angels or airplanes. You can go geometric with stripes, circles, triangles and squares or favor a denim, bold colors, or a soft pastel look. The Gender Neutral Noah's Ark Theme If you're awaiting your baby's arrival and want to prepare the nursery beforehand you may want to choose a gender neutral theme. One interesting concept you can run with is a Noah's Ark theme. It's a great way to introduce your baby to a large variety of animals and it will be appealing to both boys and girls alike. If you recall the biblical story, Noah was told to build a great ark and gather two of each of the animals in the world prior to a great flood that was about to cover the earth. When it started to rain he herded all the animals he gathered onto the ark where he kept them and his family safe and sound from the brewing storm. Once the storm abated Noah sent out a dove to look for land. When it returned with an olive branch in its beak he knew his family and his precious cargo would be soon find land. If you like the concept of the Noah's Ark theme you can buy baby bedding that has birds, animals, butterflies, and more. You can decorate the walls with murals or just buy some peel and stick decals for the walls. You can even paint a rainbow on the wall. What can be more soothing yet interesting?
