The most recent rendition of Sherlock Holmes has hit theaters recently, and has received stunning reviews. If you like any sort of crime mystery, action movie, edge of you seat suspense, then you simply cannot miss this powerful version of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downy Jr., and Jude Law. Many are saying that this is perhaps the best rendition of Holmes yet.

The tale begins with the two crime solvers stopping a murder in progress. The would be murdered has been wanted for some time, and thanks to Holmes and Watson, he is now in police custody. We also learn that this is to be Watson's last case with Holmes, as he is engaged to be married. Naturally, we need to see the killer hung by the neck until dead, but not before he gives Holmes a unnerving prediction about the future. The killings have only just begun.

After he is hanged, Holmes and Watson part their separate ways. The following day, however, the executed killer's body, who had been verified dead by Dr. Watson himself, has somehow broken out of his tomb, and is at large once again. And just as he predicted, the killings have started again.

Holmes follows the trail to a mysterious cult, that currently being led by the killer's father. The cult hires Holmes to find the killer, as he has some secret magic learned from the cult, and they do not think he can be controlled. He takes the challenge, but not for the reasons they ask.

The killer returns to the secret cult, and begins killing those that oppose his rise to power. He uses various methods of killing, and leaves several clues for Holmes to follow. Holmes and Watson, who has been dragged back to Holmes' side seemingly against his will, discover the diabolical plan of the new cult, now led by the seemingly back from the dead killer.

Holmes and Watson must race against time to keep the killer from completing his final murderous coup on the British Parliament. His diabolical plans extend far beyond taking over the mysterious cult. His desire is to first conquer Britain, and then the rest of western civilization. The final mystery is revealed when Holmes faces the killer, and reveals all his secrets. Many people are seeing this movie twice and even three times to pick up these fascinating clue that are seemingly dropped throughout this powerful tale. You should see if at the first opportunity, if you haven't already. Those who have already seen it would do well to see it once more.
