Cloud computing is the future of the IT industry. Cloud computing employs a technology that uses the internet to maintain data and other applications as well. This technology has now become very popular with various companies and businesses. This is because of the ease of access with cloud computing—the elastic cloud software lets you access data no matter which computer you're using. Several different servers are used with cloud computing tools. This ability to get connected to several servers simultaneously makes cloud servers such a popular choice. Traditional hosting services do not provide this feature. These only offer access to only one limited server at a time. However, with the cloud software, the user has unlimited processing power and additional servers can be added to boost the power at any time. The great number of advantages of cloud software makes it the obvious choice for most major websites today. These include websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, webmail services like Hotmail and Yahoo mail, small blogging sites and services like WordPress, video and picture sharing websites like Flickr and You tube, application and document websites such as Google Docs, business websites like eBay and Craig's List and rating and commenting sites such as Yelp and TripAdvisor. All of the mentioned websites are extremely popular with people from professional and non-professional sectors of life. This shows that cloud computing is integrated in our everyday lives and it has intelligently taken control of all IT related issues. Cloud computing is taking over the Internet. This doesn't mean that the desktop will be obsolete. Rather, it will adapt to the changing needs and technologies by being compatible with remote computing. Most users predict that in the future they will make use of a sophisticated desktop hybrid that is extremely user friendly and will be the primary interface for information. They say that desktops and private networks will be providing the same services at more functional rate. The main improvement will be the speed and efficiency of the services. The cloud computing deployment will eventually serve to evolve the private sector and the IT related applications on a large scale. Despite its rising popularity, however, some users have doubts as to its security. They feel that the cloud software further exposes private information to governments, corporations, thieves, opportunists, and human and machine error. There are also compatibility issues to be dealt with. Users think that there should be a proper way to facilitate an easy shift to cloud software. Cloud software isn't perfect though; there are still issues relating to legal matters, intellectual property rights, accessibility, and privacy that need to be smoothed out. The matters earlier mentioned need to be dealt with before cloud software can be fully accepted by all users. But it's notable that although most of these concerns are legitimate a lot of trusted websites make use of cloud software. This only shows that the naysayers are wrong and that cloud software is a highly effective and reliable technology.
