Improving Bedroom Air Quallity--5 Best Filters to Have In a Cleaner

Filtering bedroom air is important if your body is to be able to rest and rejuvenate each night. Having the correct filter is essential, and here are 5 that are essential to clean air.

Large Particle-This is often the first filter inside the unit. And its name describes the usual location, which is before the other filters. It is designed to trap the large particles that you can see in your air-things like hair (both human and pet), and household dust that can be made up of very fine pieces of paper, pieces of fabric from clothes and linens, and even tiny metal shavings that are created from door hinge friction.

Medium Particle-This type has slightly smaller openings than the one for large particles and will remove mold and mildew spores which are impossible to stop from entering indoor space. Trapping these reduces the chances mold and mildew problems if they are eliminated before they can find moisture in which to grow. Seasonal pollens are also eliminated as they become airborne from clothes, hair, packages, and pets.

HEPA---This is by far the most important filter to have because of its efficiency at removing airborne particles.. HEPA stands for high efficiency particle arresting, and is the same type of filter used in hospitals to insure clean air.

By definition it must be able to remove particles as small as.3 microns in length with 99.97 % efficiency. The benefit of this is that for every 10,000 airborne particles, it must be able to remove 99,997 of them-all except three. This maintains the highest level of air quality..

Activated Carbon---Best known for its ability to absorb gases, odors, and chemicals, this is a great advantage to have in a cleaner. So many of the products we use today are formulated with chemicals that can off-gas in obvious ways, but also in more subtle ways that are hard to identify.

Fumes from carpet, new furniture, adhesives used for wallpaper or tile, paint, scents from household and personal products can all combine to create havoc for someone who is the least bit sensitive to these odors. The carbon filter is excellent at keeping these gaseous pollutants to a minimum.

Carbon Cloth---Used by the British Military as a response to chemical warfare. And since this cloth is carbon-based, it is also excellent at removing airborne chemicals as well as gases and odors. Because it is a cloth, it gives an additional level of protection from airborne particles..

With these 5 filters in your cleaner, you can be assured that both gaseous and particulate pollutants will be continually removed.. Choosing one purifier that contains all of these would literally be a dream come true..
