Magic Tricks Revealed: How To Quickly Establish Rapport With Any Audience

By : George Hutton

This is a great set of skills that can give you a quick and powerful connection with any audience. They are based on simple psychology, but will make it appear as though you have powerful psychic skills. These are easy to learn, and you can go out and put them into practice as soon as you finish reading this article.

Any magician knows that credibility is very important when doing a series of magic tricks. One mistake and you're cover is blown, and they'll be watching you with a much closer eye. When people see a magic act, especially if they'd paid money, they want to be dazzled and entertained. They don't have to make believe that you are doing real magic. They want to believe you are magic.

A great way to set yourself up as an authority in their minds is through some seemingly amazing psychic mind reading. Using some basic eye watching cues, you can easily tell what kinds of thoughts they are thinking. When you match up your "patter" with the kinds of thoughts they are thinking, your credibility, and their enjoyment, will skyrocket.

Here are the general rules. When people look up, either up and to the right, or up and to the left, they are generally thinking visually. They are literally seeing pictures in their minds. When people are looking side to side, they are generally thinking of sounds, either voices, songs, or music. When people look down, either down and to the right, or down and to the left, they are generally thinking of "feeling" thoughts.

One way you can do this is to pick out a willing participant, and have a mini conversation with him or her. As you pay attention to their eyes, and gain and understanding into their thoughts, you can easily match your words to their type of thinking. Simply put, speak in picture words (look, see, notice, etc.) when they are looking up, and speak in sound words (hear, listen, music, etc.) when they are looking side to side. People rarely think in terms of feelings when they are out watching a show. It is more of a visual and auditory experience.

While these tips are very basic, and broad, they will go a great deal in helping you gain a huge amount of rapport in a relatively short amount of time with any audience, or even with a one on one encounter when you are doing street magic. Of course these skills can easily be applied elsewhere, like in a relationship, but I'll leave that to your own discretion.
