There's no getting away from it - as we get older our skin tends to wrinkle. At least it's a good thing that wrinkles - those folds and creases in our skin - aren't life threatening. There are some people who just don't seem to mind looking older. But for everyone else, every time we glance in the mirror and we're reminded that it's been awhile since we've been the "new kid on the block" we sort of wish we can turn back the clock of time. And luckily, with recent developments, it's now possible to look a lot younger than our biological years would suggest. This article will take a look at some of the ways you can get rid of your wrinkles. What Causes Our Skin to Wrinkle Temporary wrinkles are caused by being immersed in water for a prolonged period of time. Luckily these wrinkles go away shortly after we dry off. If your wrinkles are more permanent it will take a bit more effort to get rid of them. Aside from piling on the years, wrinkles are most commonly caused by smoking, sun damage, squinting, and dehydration. The implication is that if you want to curtail the possibility of getting more wrinkles you should stop smoking, stay out of the sun, drink plenty of water, and get your eyes checked. How to Get Rid of Your Wrinkles A few "crows feet" might be annoying, but when you see an excessive amount of wrinkles on your neck or face it can be a bit unsightly and usually makes us look a lot older than we actually are. That's the reason you should take some immediate actions when they first appear. If you don't they can permanently set in and may need more aggressive treatments down the line. You may want to start by trying some home remedies. They are not expensive but they do work for some folks. However, if you find that these natural treatments are not effective then you may want to look into either cosmetic or medical treatments. For example, topical cream and/or oil anti aging formulas are a safer approach to ridding yourself of wrinkles than any type of surgery. Injections and laser therapy, two popular means of removing wrinkles, are costly and can be risky. But many people also choose this option. For my two cents, because recent technological advances and medical research have discovered new information on skin care, I'd start with the safest approach possible and possibly move on from there. Because scientists and doctors have learned why and how wrinkles appear, they've been able to formulate treatments that can reduce facial wrinkles in addition to maintaining wrinkle free skin. Very dramatic results have be yielded by experiment after experiment. Nowadays it's possible to artificially stimulate collagen building in our skin. When you use some of the exclusive formulas you shouldn't be surprised if you see the fine lines and deeper folds on your face start to decrease. And, with preventive care, it now is actually possible to reduce the signs of aging on a long term basis.
