The great thing about charm bracelets is that they just keep increasing in popularity, ensuring there are always new designs and styles being created. Charm bracelets come in many different chains, clasps styles and themes, not to mention metals. Silver charm bracelets as well as gold charm bracelets are equally popular, the decision which one to own is really yours!

One way to avoid having to make a decision is to select a couple of different styles of bracelets and have more than one collection of charms. This also allows you to match your charm bracelets with other jewelry or just wear it is a key central piece.

There are several options when considering the actual style of the chain itself in the bracelet. Charm bracelets with the larger, bold, flat links are very dramatic looking while the more delicate and fine links are easily doubled or tripled for lots of options to attach charms.

One of the most popular styles of links for charm bracelets of any metal is the cable link. This is a loose link that can be single, double or triple and has uniform round to slightly oval links. Curb links are longer and more oval in shape but are also alternated with larger and smaller links in a repeating pattern.

Some of the most delicate and beautiful styles of charm bracelets are those with individual heart shaped links. Again these can be double or triple as well as single and can be found in any metal. Some of these are also available in platinum and have a romantic heart shaped toggle clasp that adds to the overall design.

In most standard types of chain link styles the clasp is designed to blend into the bracelet. The vast majority of charm bracelets will feature barrel, spring ring or lobster types of clasps as they are both durable and functional.

The length of the charm bracelet will depend on the manufacturer. Most charm bracelets are either 7 to 8 inches in length or 7.5 to 8.5 inches. Both sizes will generally fit most women and can always be adjusted by having a jeweler add or remove links.

Giving charm bracelets isn't complete without a few charms to start out. Most jewelers recommend three to five charms situated evenly along charm bracelets as a good starting number. Shopping online or at local stores will allow you to determine what type of bracelet best suits your needs and stays within your budget.
