The first form of care is generally pain medication but it hardly solves the problem and medication can come with lots of side effects. Chiropractors can offer a wide variety of alternative medicine for back and neck pain relief with no side effects. Some types of cure for the pain are spinal manipulation, spinal adjustments, non-invasive drug free therapy and ultrasounds. Chiropractic methods are pain free for back pain.

The first step in a chiropractic exam is for the doctor to as general questions such as how long have you had the pain and other general questions that will give them some type of form for cure. Improper posture or carelessness can generally lead to moderate neck pain, whereas severe pain is a sign of born defect such as scoliosis. The treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the muscoskeletal system related to the spine is known as chiropractic study.

A chiropractor can use many of the same practices as a physician while at the same time treating pain and sympotoms. In many cases shoulder or arm pain is just some of the symptoms associated with chiropractic neck pain. Spinal adjustments are an important aspect of the treatment plan for chiropractic neck pain. Subluxations often occur resulting when one or two of the vertebrae move elsewhere in position, creating pressure and irritation near the spinal nerves and often can be treated by spinal manipulation and chiropractic adjustments.

The spinal manipulation and chiropractic adjustments help reduce pain in the soft tissue and stimulate the nervous system of the body. Many believe that spinal manipulation and chiropractic adjustments are painful, but this is a myth. A patient who seeks a chiropractor for treatment is found to have a gentle and precise experience.

Chiropractic practitioner are trained to return motion back to the constrained spinal joints and do not just snap bones back into place. Another great form of therapy for neck and back pain is the use of ultrasound therapy. The cold laser therapy increases blood circulation, which eliminates swelling, muscle spasms and stiffness associated with back and neck pain.

Chiropractors in may recommend the use of an ice pack or cold pack after spinal manipulation to control swelling which can be done at home. As well as an ice pack the chiropractic expert may also work with you on exercise, diet or lifestyle changes to improve range of motion and strengthening the muscle.
