Because of the downturn in the global economy that we have experienced over the past few years, many of us are now staying in our houses far longer than we had anticipated. By now some of us would have moved up a step, into a larger place, which would see us making headway in our lives. It is not a good idea to leave a leaking shingle in situ since water in the fabric of the building will always spell problems in the future. The electrics can be damaged and, in extreme cases, fires can start if the power lines start to short out.
