Improve Your Smile And Increase Your Value

Everyone knows that a friendly smile is a good social tool but it is also incredibly valuable in business.

Scientific research has proven that a winning smile can have a significant impact on a person's decision making and researchers have revealed the monetary value of having a glowing grin.

Researchers at Bangor University discovered that an authentic smile is worth approximately one third of a penny after examining how people reacted to two differing smiles with one being genuine and the other polite.

PhD student Danielle Shore, who was the lead author of the research, said that when two people interact they usually exchange between ten to 20 smiles in the course of a short meeting and this reflects the relatively low value of a smile.

She said; "Genuine smiles appear to act as a form of social currency, a valuable reward that people will pay to receive. People who often make genuine smiles may have an easier time convincing others to adopt their goals."

People in business should visit their nearest dentist as the evidence suggests that a genuine smile gives a recipient a pleasurable and positive experience, which will encourage them to purchase more expensive products with greater add-ons.

American dentists believe that they have discovered the dimensions to a perfect smile and people who are worried about the value of their grin should consult their local dentist to evaluate ways to improve their teeth.

In order to achieve a perfect smile, both lips should be symmetrical and the width must be at least have the width of the face, while the lip line should not reveal more than a tiny fraction of the gums.

The perfect smile will include straight teeth which have had no visible restorative work and the two eye teeth must be dominant with the lower set barely visible to the viewer.

It is also advisable not to take teeth whitening treatments to the extreme as an artificial looking smile will damage the overall appearance of a grin and may repulse people rather than attract them.

The colour of someone's smile is the first thing that people notice so it is important to find the right balance and a good rule of thumb to follow is that teeth should be the same shade as the whites of your eyes.

If you are unsure about which teeth whitening treatments are appropriate for your smile, then you should consult a qualified dentist as they will have the expertise to advise you about the most suitable procedure.
