Finally, find out whether your chosen company handles zoning issues or if they are your responsibility. The local government needs to know about your project and you need to know if any special licenses are required. If you have purchased land on which you plan to build, the seller of the land hopefully did his research. It can get very expensive if you have to tear down a project and start from scratch because you have overlooked zoning laws in your area. This can be avoided by doing your research in the beginning.
