If you live near the beach, don't think twice and take metal detecting as your new hobby. Metal detecting is a great hobby for both the young and the old. While strolling on the beach alone or not, all you have to do is sway that metal detector and who knows what treasure is there waiting to be found. Beach is the best place for beginners. Novice metal detector hunters have found a bunch of treasures and it just made them keep going and going. Just think of what you'll gain - treasure and experience. It's perfect for your everyday lifestyle.

Location is a key when it comes to metal detecting. If you do some research, you will be able to learn about spots that haven't been hunted. Having said all these, it only means that riverbanks have always been a great option for a good location. In fact, river banks is one of the most prime and common locations for metal detecting.
