1. You may be familiar with two tier affiliate marketing programs. These programs pay you for sales that you make, and they also pay you a commission on sales of affiliates that you recruit. This means that even when your customers refer someone to the product in question, you make a commision from it.
A way to create residual income from this business model is to build a sales force of super affiliates and earn income on every sale they make. Over time you can walk away from your business and still make money every month on the sales of these highly qualified affiliates. You achieve that by focusing on recruiting affiliates, instead of selling the product.
One thing that you should be aware of is that you need to provide incentive to your affiliate, support them and offer some training to keep them motivated and willing to promote the product. Naturally, this doesn't apply to the super affiliates that we've mentioned as they are self-sufficient and will make money with it if they see quality in it.
2. Sell residual income programs that contain a membership fee in them. For example, there are training programs on the Internet that bill on a recurring basis. As an affiliate, you can earn a commission check every month that a customer stays with the program and is billed for it. Over time this can add up to an amazing monthly reccuring income.
An example of this is selling products that people use and need again and again. Website hosting is a great example of this and is an ideal product for you to sell as an affiliate, because people need to host their site somewhere month after month.
3. Create your own information products and let affiliates sell them for you. An example would be writing an ebook and selling it on Clickbank. New sales can be made every month by thousands of affiliates and you get to spend time doing other things and other projects.
These are jusr three simple, proven and effective ways of using affiliate marketing to create a residual income stream of your own. It takes a lot of work to develop a residual income in the beggining, but the rewards are almost inevitable if you follow a proven plan and stick to it.
