One of the most common questions people have is how long will it take me to start making money online? I get this question all the time and I know it is on people's minds because I had that very question myself. There are several things that will affect how quickly you make money. In no particular order I've listed four of them here. 1. How much time will you spend every week on your business? This is no different than going to your full time job. The more you work the more you would expect to be paid. Although you do not have an hourly rate when you are building your own Internet business, the success you will experience in the future is some what reliant on how much time you spend working on your business every week. 2. How much money can you spend promoting? There certainly are free or nearly free methods of advertising a product online. If you have money you can begin marketing and getting website visitors right away. PPC advertising is a very good example of this. Once you set your campaign up you can begin getting traffic almost immediately. If you have a well designed website, and represent products people have an interest in, you could begin making money right away. 3. What is your current online marketing skill level? This probably kills more dreams than anything. The world wide web is huge and it does take skills to build a profitable business. If you are willing to invest time learning how to do Internet marketing correctly you will make money faster. 4. How competitive is your niche? Because of how well developed they are some niches are almost impossible to compete in. Niche marketing has come about because people take broad themes and narrow them down to something less competitive. You can make money faster if you are in a less competitive niche. So, having said all that we get around to trying to answer the question of whether you have the patience to make money online. Some people want to see things happen almost immediately and they quit when it doesn't. Making money online can certainly try your patience and therefore you want to set small goals so you can feel like you are becoming successful. For example building a mailing list and getting even a handful of subscribers on a daily basis can be motivational. Setting low income goals as small as $5 a day can help as well. Then as you begin to hit that dollar amount you can shoot for larger daily income goals. In summary these are a few things to consider when it comes to making money online. You certainly will need patience, however understand that if you do things correctly you will eventually begin and money!
