This is an amazingly simple to learn trick that always generates massive amounts of pleasure from whoever you decide to show it to. Although this trick has been around for a while, it never fails to impress. This is a close up trick, and requires some before hand preparation. This is best done in your own home, or a place where you have access to the materials, like the home of a friend. It is not recommended that you do this in a public place like a bar or a restaurant. Here's the trick: While your sitting around a table with your friends or relatives, you claim that you have recently developed powerful telekinetic powers. You can make an egg stand on end. Impossible they say. You need to get an egg, either raw or hard boiled. Or better yet, have them do it. That way they'll know you're not using a trick egg, and you don't have to get up out of your chair. When they return with the egg, ask them to try and balance the egg on either end. They'll try, and obviously fail. Then they'll give the egg to you, and you magically balance it using your powerful telekinetic abilities. After you balance it, give it back to them, and let them try. They can try this all day long, and they'll never be able to reproduce this. The Secret: Before you do the trick, all you have to do is pile up a little bit of salt underneath the tablecloth. Just remember where you put it. When you balance the egg, simply place either end in the center of the pile, and it will stand upright. If you can place the egg on the salt pile without looking, it will be much more impressive. This will go a long ways in convincing them of your psychic powers. If they suspect you're up to something, tell them you brain can only handle so much telekinetic displays of power in one sitting, as you are just a beginner. Of course, if you like, you can show them how to do this trick, but that's up to you. One way to enhance this trick is to balance the egg only once, and only for a few seconds. Act like you are expending a tremendous amount of mental abilities while you're doing this. As they try and repeat this magical oddity, quickly smooth over the small pile of salt so that they don't suspect anything. If you linger too long with the egg standing and them staring, they'll get suspicious, and may discover the secret. So it's best to do this quickly, and then claim psychic mental fatigue. This one of many simple to learn and easy to perform tricks that will never cease to amaze your audience, whoever they may be. Have fun.
