When selecting the perfect style of winter coat it is vital to choose one that will keep you toasty warm through out the winter and will also make you look and feel great. A winter coat is a real investment so it is important to choose a great style that you will be able to wear year after year. When choosing your winter coat, think about what you will be wearing it with as this will be an important factor in deciding which coat to buy.
The Military Style Coat is a key look for Autumn and winter 2008/ 2009. It incorporates a number of features that were seen on the catwalk including fitted style flaring from the waist, double breasted, gold and red trim, gold or brass buttons and military style badges. The military coat will be in a variety of colours including navy, black, royal blue and khaki.
The Statement Coat there is no particular style of statement coat. It is just a coat that makes a statement in one way or another. Try finding a coat with an interesting colour, shape or texture. This style of coat is for someone who likes to stand out in the crowd. Careful consideration is needed when selecting a statement coat as to the foot wear and any other accessories that will be worn with it. The evening coat For formal evening events, it is nice to be able to arrive in style with an appropriate evening coat. A great look for an evening coat is to choose one with 3 quarter length sleeves and wear with a pair of long gloves.
Classic coat - a classic wool coat in black or navy is incredibly versatile and will be suitable for almost any occasion. It is worth going for the best quality that you can afford when buying a classic style coat as it is sure to last you for year after year.
The Parka A parka is a great coat for wearing with casual clothes and is amazingly warm and practical. There are so many different styles of parka to choose from including sporty styles to more cheek leather parkas and really snug faux fur lined parkas.
Cocoon Coat - A cocoon coat is perfect for those that like to keep up with the latest fashions. The cocoon has been around for a few seasons already and the most up to date version of this style is with a low waisted belt or in a tweed fabric.
Checked coat - This is another key style for this season with many different variations to choose from including plaids and tartans. Think about the size and colour of the check and what will suit you best. A large check pattern will look too much on a petite so opt for a smaller check or tweed fabric.
