Matching between Restaurants and different Menu Covers

To be quite honest, I think every restaurant should use menu covers, but I don't think it's necessary for every restaurant TO have fancy menu covers or leather menus. When I think of something like a beach scene club that has finger foods and sandwiches, I don't really think of a classy looking menu. This doesn't mean you can't do it, especially if you have money set aside to do so. But you also don't have to, if you don't want to. I think it depends on the style, the type, and the meal prices of the actual restaurant.

For example, if I walked into a steakhouse that sold steaks for $20 apiece, sat down at a comfortable booth that served $8 glasses of wine or beer, then yes, I would expect that this type of a place would have restaurant covers, and nice ones at that. In other words, think of the theme or style of your restaurant. If it's a pub, bar, club, or laid-back type of theme you might consider dropping the menu sleeves. On the other hand, if your restaurant is more upscale, downtown, or considered gourmet or elegant, then yes, you might consider using these menu sleeves.

If you do get menu sleeves it's important you keep with a particular theme you have going on in your restaurant. A small dash of creativity and some planning ahead of time can go a long way when it comes to ANY ideas incorporated into your restaurant. A well thought out idea can keep you from making a lot of mistakes in the future. If you do choose to get menu sleeves and your restaurant is a pub, bar or club or a very laid-back place, you could consider going with a more casual menu sleeve like a clear see-through plastic.

If you are more upscale, you could think about doing something in gold, black or silver lettering with a full leather sleeve. Chances are you thought a lot about the food you wanted to serve, the wine, beer and alcohol selection, you probably even spent a long while choosing how your logo would look. And your menu covers should be no different! I think it's a superb idea to match your logo and place it on your menus on the front cover. This is also about branding your name as well as looking professional and keeping everything up-to-date.

Now with something like genuine leather check covers, I think it's a must that ALL restaurants should have. It's about a sense of security as well as convenience. The genuine leather check covers also come in all sorts of colors and designs as well, so be sure to match them up with your decor and the overall feel of your restaurant. These will also come with varying elements such as a place for the cash, credit card and receipt and an extra spot for the pen. You can choose to match the genuine leather check covers with the menu covers, or make it completely different as far as color and design goes - it's all up to you!
