What Are The Advantages Of Open Or Closed Auto Transporting?

When it comes time for you to relocate your car or to move to different state, you may want to look into various alternatives to just driving the car or vehicle by yourself. Many of the auto transporting companies and auto shipping companies out there will have two options when it comes to transporting your vehicle; open and closed drivers. Each one of these methods is going to have a different pricing of course. For example, with open car transport services the actual company decided their price per vehicle on the truck depending on what route they are driving.

On the other hand, with closed auto transportation, the price is most likely going to be based on miles driven rather than price per vehicle on the truck. Which one is cheaper is going to depend on how many cars are in the truck, and how far the driver has to get to your preferred location. Most of the time, especially when the economy is bad, these prices are going to be based off of fuel prices - and why not! They are saving you a bundle of money by transporting your car for you! This is actually one of the reasons these auto shipping companies, car transport services and auto transporting options have become SO popular.

I mean, you are probably going to spend about $550 driving from, let's say, Pennsylvania to Florida. So if they want to charge you something like $450, you still are saving a load of cash. Also, you have to consider safety issues and wear and tear on your car. If you just bought a new car, I highly doubt you want to run it ragged from one side of the country to the other. It makes no sense. Even if you have an older car, I would still be worried about if it would make it or not!

My parents constantly moved around with me when I was a child, and I can't tell you how many instances our car over heated, or ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere, or we had to pull over because of hail storms and snow storms. Driving far can be a scary experience especially if you don't have a car that is of the utmost quality! Whereas with something like an auto car transport Florida you can be sure that your car is going to be completely safe! By the way, you really can use these services for more than a car. You can do trucks, RVs, motorcycles, even boats! Also, an open trailer is going to be the least expensive option, and it's also the most popular.

Enclosed transport is usually 50% more expensive, but it protects your car better - snow, sleet, rain, lighting - this might not be favorable with you if you are transporting a really expensive car! An enclosed option is going to be in an enclosure and your car will be THAT much safer, and it won't be exposed to everything under the sun - but it's also going to be more expensive. The option you choose is up to you!
