Copper pipe and copper tubing require some special tools. Butane torches are handy having their greatest functionality for sweat-solders .Remember that in most situations with home heating and plumbing repairs that wrenches are generally used in pairs - one holds like a vise while the other turns the fitting or tube. Pre-prepared forms of stainless steel or commercial types of tubes and plumbing fixtures are more convenient to handyman. Of course you must be prepared to remove the burrs created by cutting. Outside burrs can be removed with a file, but you will need a reamer to remove any burrs inside the passages.
