How To Care For Hair Of All Types

Hair comes in all forms; some people have curly hair or straight hair. Some have red, blonde, brown, or black hair. Some people even dye their hair funky colors like purple and green. Hair comes in all different lengths because people often cut or grow out their hair. No matter the hair type, everyone should, on a regular basis wash and care for their hair's specific needs. If one is finding that they are having trouble cleaning their hair then, they should get their shower door fixed by the shower door repair Company.

People who have long hair should wash their beauteous locks about 2-4 times a week. Long hair should be washed with a shampoo that is specifically made to repair damaged hair or split ends. This is because long hair has more of a tendency to crack or break and the ends are older and may damage easily. People with long hair should apply a light conditioner after rinsing out their shampoo. This will help to keep the hair moisturized and soft.

Thin hair should be treated with a strong shampoo and washed almost every day. Thin hair tends to get greasy pretty easily and so washing it more often becomes essential. Thin hair should not be treated with conditioner; otherwise people will point and cry out "what a greasy mop of hair that is". This sort of behavior should not be encouraged, so people with thin hair should wash it often and treat it well to prevent further outbursts of bad manners.

Thick hair should be washed less often to allow for oils to build up and set the hair properly. If thick hair is washed too often, then people can experience overly dried and damaged hair which can be unsatisfactory. People with thick hair should use a slightly thicker or more effective conditioner to lock in more moisture. Thick hair can take quite a long time to air dry so if one has thick hair then they can revert to using a hair dryer unless they also have curly hair.

Curly hair is the most unruly and hardest to care for. People with curly hair should wash their hair even less often and use a mild shampoo along side of an extremely thick conditioner. A hair mask which is similar to lotion but for hair, should be used often, at least every other wash. Hair masks coat hair in a sealant that keeps the hair moisturized for extra long which is especially helpful for curly hair.

Some people choose to dread their hair which calls for a much different set of cleaning techniques. It is a common misconception that by not washing hair, dreadlocks form. In fact, the opposite is true. Only squeaky clean hair can be successfully dreaded. Once the dreads are formed, they should be washed with a mild soap and fully dried. If dreads are not fully dried, then fungi or molds could grow causing discomfort not only to the wearer but any onlookers as well.
