It is very easy these days to see how people want to spread out a bit when the family residence becomes just a little too small for their needs. Indeed, other than moving or putting up an extension there is really little that one can do about the situation. However, to build a home or add some extra space has never been easier with the advent of the prefabricated house. For those who are interested in this subject, try looking up 'modular home prices' to get some idea of how easy they are to build and how much it will cost. There are many reasons to want extra space for the family of course. One may be that the kids are growing and need their own bedrooms, or the teenagers are just too noisy around the place. By putting up a prefabricated house in the garden, they will get used to being independent while still being under the watchful eye of the parents too. Some people will use these small houses to start-up a business from home too. The stay at home parent will certainly want to get back into work once the kids are old enough not to need watching every hour, and this presents a great way to start off something that may be kids oriented too. For example, some parents know just about everything there is to know about teaching kids or taking care of them. A crche or play school is a great idea and the parent can look after other kids while making some money at the same time. On the other hand, the parent may just want to start-up some online business selling something from the house and this could actually be big enough to store goods in too. A further idea is for that budding author, who just knows that they have at least one book in them, to put in a small library and computer for research, to have a quiet place to get the work done. Even the kids can use the place to get their homework done or the parents can just put in something that they have always wanted, like a home gym for instance. Indeed, the uses for these houses are just endless and it is only the imagination which will limit the individual. Some folks put one of these houses in a scenic spot way out in the country to give the family a place to get off to when they have had enough of city living. Not only is this a great retreat, it can also be another income stream by renting it out to others when the family is not using it. Finally, no one should worry about erecting one of these little gems since the whole thing comes in flat pack form. Along with the plans for erecting it comes the details how to make sure the foundations are strong enough etc so this is a dream to put up for the avid do-it-yourself person. Those who are too nervous can always get a helping hand from the local handyman and the place should be finished in just a couple of days.
