Going to Disney World can be an amazing experience for you and your little ones. With so many rides and attractions to see, you will be astounded all throughout your trip. If you are planning to go here during the summertime, you need to know two things. The first is that the park is quite crowded during summer and the second is that the heat can be very intense. After all, Florida is one of the hottest states in the country. Below, you will find practical tips on how to survive the heat when you visit the park.

Wear light clothes

Of course, the very first advice would be to wear light clothing. Light colored clothes that will not absorb heat from the sun and are made of light fabric and materials are ideal for this purpose. You should also wear protective sun gear like wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sandals, and so on. You need all of these to protect yourself from the intense heat of the sun and to keep yourself cool all the time. Keep yourself hydrated Keeping yourself hydrated is important not only to keep yourself refreshed but also to avoid dehydration. Dehydration is common during summer and it can be very dangerous. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. It would be best to bring your own bottles of water so you do not have to buy every time you get thirsty. This will also save you money. Moreover, you can check out the stalls that offer free drinks inside the park. Just make sure that you stay away from too much soda as this can only make you thirstier.

Splash some sunscreen

Apply sunscreen on your skin an hour before you leave the Orlando Vacation hotels or Disney Hotels. This is to protect yourself from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Get sunscreen that has protection against UVA and UVB rays so that you can get the maximum protection. Get one that has a high sun protection factor. An SPF 30 or higher is ideal for this.

Stay indoors during midday

Arrive early in the park so you can enjoy most of the outdoor attractions before the sun's rays become strong. By lunch time, it would be ideal to hit the indoor attractions so you can stay out of the sun. Around 1 or 2 pm, you can have your lunch in the restaurants. Having a late lunch will allow you to duck the crowds who usually eat at noontime. The time that the sun is strongest is from 10 am to 2 pm. It would be best not to go out during these hours. Resume your outdoor attraction exploration at night.

Go to water parks to cool off

Disney World has two water parks, namely Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. You would want to go here during the middle of the day so you can keep yourself refreshed. This is one of the most fun ways to get the heat off.
