All He Wants for Christmas

The holidays are just around the corner and some of us are starting to freak out about how far behind we are in our shopping. Here are a few last minute gift ideas for him. From winter coats to little fun stocking stuffers, the men in your life will be set for the 2011.

1. Duffle Coat:

A nice, double-sided duffle coat, is sure to keep him warm, cosy, and stylish this winter season. Popular colours and styles include dark brown, navy, grey, and deep green, hooded, with lots of pockets and possibly some fur. If he's already got one of those then maybe go for a double breasted trench coat that will come in good use for the spring.

2. Blazer:

No matter what his job or style, every man should have a stylish blazer hanging in his closet. Dark colours are always well suited for the years colder months. Instead of going for plain black why not try something chequered? Popular styles at the moment include tweed, elbow pads, and velvet. Blazers are well suited with suit trousers and jeans.

3. Knitwear:

Nothing gets you cosy like your favourite big sweater that you can wear everyday. These are the oversized cardigans that act more like house coats then they do a fashion statement, but they are precisely that. Light grey, navy, and oatmeal are great colours for this look. Coloured patterns within the design can also be quite cool, and stylish buttons are always a great touch. Some favourites are horns and toggle closures.

4. Accessories:

For last minute gifts or stocking stuffers, belts are a great way to go. To go with the equestrian style that has been dominating the high streets for the last couple of months, why not go far a tan brown belt with a rusted buckle? Studded belts or ethnically embroidered ones are also cool styles. Hats can also be fun. From bowler hats, to trilby hats, to winter toques, there's always a good reason to get your head warm and stylish.

5. Tie clips:

Instead of getting him the usual cufflinks why not go for an accessory that he probably wouldn't have thought of for himself? A tie-clip is a great way to put a little glitter onto your tie and add some sparkle to an otherwise plain suit look. Moreover, tie-clips serve a very important function- they keep your tie together so that it stays neat and doesn't fall into the Christmas bowl of eggnog!

For those of you who thought you were running out of time and ideas, I've just given you five great ones to work with. Happy shopping!
