Toile: This is a lightweight cotton with scenic, often rustic designs. For a tablecloth, this is a great bet. 9. Damask/Brocade: These two fabrics are very fine. The difference between them is that the former is not reversible. The raised texture on texture works very well for upholstery and drapes. 10. Chenille: This velvety yarn is very soft and is commonly found in tassels and rugs. It is perfect for a nursery or a more intimate setting, like a bedroom. These ten types of fabric will leave you with plenty of ideas. Remember that the kind of fabric you choose - silk, for example, conveys a different feeling than a woven fabric, and may be more appropriate for a certain decorating theme.
