Custom Banner Printing and Other Items You'll Need For a Trade Show

When you've committed to a trade show, you want to know that you're ready and that your efforts are headed in the right direction. That said, here are the top ten items you need to look your best and impress future customers.

1. Suit: First impressions are everything and nothing conveys success and class like a suit. Maybe if you want to take the Steve Jobs route you can try jeans and a black turtleneck, but that's only if your product is geared towards the younger generation. A haircut and shiny shoes are a couple of other good ideas.

2. Research: Take time to read about early-bird discounts and the layout of the space. Ideally, you want your booth to be next to a large corporate booth that gets a lot of traffic.

3. Trade show banners: There are different kinds of trade show banners. You can choose trade show banner stands, large format banners, and custom banner printing of any other kind that suits you. Make your design colorful, vivacious and attention-grabbing to attract people around your booth.

4. Swag: The coolest swag always gets respect from people. Some trade show hunters walk around just looking for swag. You may want a diverse array of promotional items, such as pens for those randoms, and mousepads or t-shirts for potential customers.

5. Table: You need a folding table and maybe a couple of chairs, although you won't be doing much sitting.

6. Plastic bowl: Bucket, bowl, anything that looks inviting for people to drop off business cards.

7. Mints: These are a great attraction and will keep everyone's breath fresh.

8. High-Energy Employees: You want to bring your best-groomed, happiest, and friendliest employees to make an impression on potential customers. They shouldn't be sitting and talking to each other during the show.

9. Attitude: You need to attract people to your booth, and while your employees should help, you will also need a spiel you can deliver to other executives. Speak to as many people as possible.

10. Business Cards: Don't carry around brochures; they're heavy and cumbersome. A business card does the job, and tell prospects that you will send them a brochure when you're back at the office. You may want to keep your cards in one jacket pocket, and the cards you receive in another.

If you bring these ten things to the show, you're sure to pick up at least a couple of new clients. And after it all, you will have had a good time, meeting people and talking about your services. So go out there and show the world how your business makes a difference.
