First, the golfer has to be in a position in line with the flag while putting the ball on the tee. The next step is to place the marker in a direct line between the flag and the ball. The two points are then used to position the club on the ground. The player should at this point be standing with the whole body parallel to the line. The player must then grip the left hand correctly and make sure the shaft lies across the top of the forefinger and fits under the heel of the arm, thereby making it firm. The thumb should be straight on top of the shaft for a natural grip and should not be stretched out as this makes it harder for the other arm to join the grip.

For a well placed arm on the grip the player should be able to see the two knuckles of the hand. This means that you are in the correct angle. Grip the right hand correctly and with the right hand hanging naturally shake the hand with the club and fold the right hand over the left thumb. The two middle fingers are the ones supposed to supply most of the pressure and not the palm. The V of the right hand on the club should be pointing to the right shoulder.

Grip the back of the club correctly. There are three ways of holding the grip. They are the varden grip, the overlapping grip and the baseball grip. The first two are mostly used by men and professionals, while the third method is mostly used by women and children who have small hands and fingers. Make sure you adopt the correct posture as it allows a perfect balance. To shoot, the feet should be apart the same width as the shoulders. The feet, knees, hips and shoulders should be parallel to the target.

The right foot must be at the right angle to the line of flight and the left foot slightly open, allowing the body to follow the tips on golf swings. You should never turn the left foot out too far as this might cause an imbalance when turning the body back after the swing. The upper part of the body should lean forward slightly from the waist and the knees should be slightly bent to have enough flexibility and should be a hand width between the body and the club. The weight of the body is to be on the balls of the feet and not on the heels, with the left arm fully extended and the right arm slightly bent.

In understanding lessons for golf and the above procedures it should be easy to become a professional golf player.
