Would you be able to sleep easier at night knowing that you can save your loved ones additional grief when you die by simply paying a reasonable premium that will take care of all of your final expenses? If you are nodding your head in agreement then you will want to read this short article in order to discover how easy it is to get burial insurance for seniors.

Burial insurance is an alternative type of insurance policy that has become very popular recently. Sometimes called final expense insurance, burial insurance is one of the few types of insurance policies that you can custom design that will pay for all of the expenses that will be incurred once you have passed on.

Anyone who invests in burial insurance for seniors is able to select whatever they would like to have at their funeral. Options could include the choice of casket, various service accessories, the number of cars in the funeral procession, and more.

Upon making his or her selections the funeral director will then simply add up all of the costs. And, in most instances, the person purchasing burial insurance will be guaranteed that the costs will not exceed the face value of the policy.

No Medical or Physical Required

If you are considering purchasing a final expense insurance policy you will be happy to know that you will not have to spend any time or money getting a health, medical, or physical exam. That's because none of these are required for this type of policy. It is one of the easiest types of insurance policies to acquire.

Once you have this type of policy you will have taken care of all of your final expenses. Your family will not have to be burdened with this responsibility. It is a "hands free" type of policy because all of the benefits will be directed to the funeral home.

However, if you prefer, there is another type of final expense insurance available. With this type of burial insurance for seniors you will choose the face value of your funeral. The face value is the maximum amount of money that you will allow for your final expenses.

When you die this benefit will go to the funeral director. If you have this policy and the funeral cost less than the face value, the difference will go to a contingent beneficiary.

Since most funeral directors assume that they will receive the entire face amount of your policy - regardless of the cost of your burial - you will have to specifically ask them for this option. That's because having a contingent beneficiary will have to be written into the policy.
