Using rugs to decorate your home is a great way to bring some of the rooms to life. You can mix and match them without overdoing it. There are different designs and colors to choose from that can match the colors of the rooms in your home. Rugs can complete the rooms in your home where they previously looked dull and drab. They can make some rooms look larger and some to look more warm and inviting. Of course, these ideas are just the tip of the iceberg. Other ways you can use rugs to decorate your home include using them as wall coverings to make them look like artwork in your home. You can use different designs, shapes and colors. They can be used in different rooms, such as the living room, dining room or foyers. They can also be used in rooms where you need to cover up blemishes on the walls. Using different color schemes will make your home look unique. Look at the colors of the walls in your home and find colors for the rugs that can match or blend in with what you have. If you have different areas of your home where the walls have a laid back look, get some rugs that have a busy pattern effect. The pattern will stand out amongst the color of the walls in your home. Using more than one rug in the same room is fine. However, they should be different sizes. This helps you to be able to see the entire area and not look like there is just one half of the room. The after-effect could look confusing. If you have rugs that are for the rooms in your home, decrease the length and width of the room by at least 36 inches. This way, the room will look like it has some space. If you have runners, keep the width narrow. The width of the runners should not be as wide as the hallways. They should also be up to two feet shorter. The way that your furniture is set up is important. Try different shapes and see which one would look best with what you have. There are many different rugs available online that you can choose from. It will take you less time to decide what will fit in best with your home if you browse online. It simply cuts down the time that you would spend in a brick and mortar store.
