Deep down, every child wants to enjoy school. The best way for your child to do that is or you to make him feel comfortable about going to school. Since you can't control the other kids on the playground, and you can only talk so much to his teacher, you may feel limited. Pencil box: This is a must on back to school supplies lists that often goes overlooked. Organization is key to success and a pencil box is a great way to stay organized. 4. Electric pencil sharpener: This item of educational school supplies can be purchased at a discount office supply store for around $20. It makes disposing of those pencil shavings easy and neat, and your children will be amazed at how rapidly it sharpens pencils, which will make them want to write more and more. 5. Clothes: You may wonder how clothes can make it onto the best back to school supplies list, but young children are always ready to ostracize those who don't fit in. That doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on the trendiest clothes that won't fit your child next year, but it does mean that if your child wants a certain pair of shoes or pants really badly, don't feel bad about giving in. As long as you don't spoil them every time they want a new piece of clothing, they will appreciate their special item and be confident when it comes to class. 6. Books: While the library is a great resource, you should always let your kids have whatever books they want, unless they don't read them, and then it's time for you to step up and read with them. Owning books is a great way to lively up the colors of your child's room, and having books around will foster a love for reading that is important to classroom success.
