Ovarian Cysts And Pregnancy

[Valid RSS feed]  Category Rss Feed - http://www.articlesbacklink.com/rss.php?rss=48
By : Val Wilson

Ovarian cysts and pregnancy are often incompatible. Oftentimes, varieties of the condition are related to endometriosis, which could be very painful and lead to hysterectomies. For women who still hope to have kids in the future, the diagnosis of any ovarian cyst, and pregnancy hopes are dashed. So, what treatment choices are obtainable to remove ovarian cysts, other than a hysterectomy?

Fortunately, if you have ovarian cysts, and pregnancy is your desire, understand that a hysterectomy is a last resort, when all other treatments have failed. No good doctor wants a woman to undergo premature menopause and all of the subsequent implications, unless pain and abnormal bleeding are severe.

Normally, you would have three options obtainable:

1. Hormone treatment
2. Less invasive surgical procedure
3. Holistic remedy

But, ridding your body of ovarian cysts normally results in pregnancy prevention, at least for a time. So, when making the decision regarding your reproductive health, remember this.

Hormone Treatment

At first, a medical doctor will almost certainly recommend hormonal therapy to prevent the production of estrogen, which essentially starves the ovarian cysts-if it works. In some cases, the cysts continue to grow and need further treatment. In either case, pregnancy is not an option, for the reason that it is also birth control. So, if you want to have a baby, this is absolutely not a long-term alternative.

Less Invasive Surgery

If hormone remedy does not get rid of the ovarian cyst, or it is not your treatment of choice, the physician would suggest less invasive operation. He/she would use laparoscopy to remove the ovarian cyst(s). If this method is not possible, a bigger incision is made. But, recovery time is generally longer. Either way, scar tissue may become a negative issue, if you are trying to get pregnant.

Holistic Remedy

For a woman seeking treatment for ovarian cysts and having children is a desire, holistic treatment should be the first treatment of choice. This natural method would get rid of the cysts and prevent them from reappearing in the future. Many women vouch for the success of holistic therapy and are happy to report a successful pregnancy after the cysts are gone.

So, even if ovarian cysts and getting pregnant are often not compatible, all hope of having a child does not necessarily have to be lost. Prior to choosing more invasive procedures or subjecting your body to synthetic hormones, give holistic therapy a try. Numerous women already have, and there a lot of beautiful babies up and down the land as a direct result! Will yours be the next one?
