The new pool safety laws are being enforced from the 1st of December and you must make sure you are in compliance with them. To make sure you can engage the services of a pool safety inspector who will issue you with a compliance certificate if you pool is in compliance with the new regulations. Past water related injuries and drowning deaths of young children have made these new laws necessary to protect our children from harm. Under the new legislation, you must be on the register as a pool owner and you must have a compliance certificate.

With the new laws in place, you must obtain a pool safety compliance certificate. To obtain this an accredited building inspection expert must be engaged to check that your pool is in compliance with the new safety laws. The pool inspector may then issue a compliance certificate soon after finding out that your pool is in compliance with the safety rules provided for by law. If it is not in compliance with the new laws, then the non-compliance certificate must have on it the reason it is not in compliance. Either way you must also be registered with the Pool Safety Register. These new laws are necessary to protect our children. Acting the role of a responsible pool owner requires one to acquire a safety compliance certificate by calling in a pool safety inspector for a pool inspection required by law. Any homeowner selling or renting out a home or property with a pool on the premises needs to have this certificate. There is no getting around these new pool laws, they are in place for good reason and must be adhered to.

A safety inspector must be trained. There are thorough courses available that teach them what to look for and about the new laws. Inspectors competing pool fence inspections must be qualified before they can issue compliance certificates. There are experienced and qualified building inspectors around who are readily available to check and inspect your pool in order to ensure its compliance with the newly implemented law. If your pool fence requires repairs then the inspectors can refer you to an accredited firm that may be of assistance. Its a good idea to hire a professional to make sure your pool is in compliance. If you don't then it could end up costing you more then you had bargained for. Not being in compliance with the law could land you with a big fine. So do yourself a favor and make sure you are in compliance with these new laws.
