Driving Visitors To A Website - 3 Methods That Work

Knowing how to drive visitors to a website is one of the most crucial skills you can have for making online profits. There are a number of strategies that work. Here are three of the best ones:

#1) Search engine optimization (SEO)

This is one of the most popular methods of all, simply because it is free. The way it works is simple: you identify a keyword you want to rank for, and then you try to get in the top ten of the search engines for it. For some sites, this will take a few days, and for others it will require years. It all depends on the amount of competitors going for the same keyword.

The good thing about this strategy is that it is free. The bad thing is that it takes a lot of time to start seeing results. It is by far the slowest of the three strategies, but if you are persistent, it can offer huge long-term profits.

#2) Pay per click

When doing a pay per click campaign, your ad can show up either on the right hand side of the regular search results, or on a website related to your ad. Then, whenever someone clicks on it, you pay a specific amount of money.

The good thing about this is that the traffic is much faster than search engine optimization. Often times your ad will appear within 15 minutes of starting the campaign. Therefore, if you have money to invest in traffic, this is definitely a wise option.

#3) Co-registration

This is not nearly as widely used as the first two strategies, and it is a hidden gem in internet marketing. Quite simply, this is where people opt in to receive emails from you after they have signed up for another offer. For instance, they might sign up for a newsletter subscription.

Then, they are given a list of other offers for which they can sign up. If you have a weight loss product, and they are interested in that topic, they will check the box indicating they want more information. You are then free to start advertising to them. The good thing about this is that it can provide a huge influx of traffic very shortly. However, it often times requires a large upfront investment. Each lead individually is very cheap, but you have to pay for many of them upfront.

The bottom line - in general is, you should start with search engine optimization, and then go on to the other two strategies. It is the cheapest and simplest method, albeit the slowest. Once you are making a sizable income from SEO, you can then reinvest some of your profits into the latter two strategies. If you want to know how to drive visitors to a website, these are three of the best methods to start with.
