Necessary Designer Fashion Accessories

It's no secret that designer fashion accessories can get pricey. It's unimaginable, how much money Carrie Bradshaw must have spent on all those shoes and handbags — and on a newspaper columnist's salary, no less! Okay, okay, so she had an über-rich boyfriend and eventual husband who ended up buying her a rooftop townhouse, so most likely she had a little help. And she did write those books, the advances for which undoubtedly bought her at least a few pairs of designer shoes for women.

Still, it seems a little suspicious that before all that happened she was still able to afford all that stuff. But, after all, it is television, so there you go. For those of you still smarting, though, you have discount web sites — sites that sell designer fashion accessories at super-sale prices. No, no, not like those guys who sell "designer handbags" for $10 on the street — these are the real deal, and they are what will keep you from going bankrupt as you assuage your need for cute things.

So, now that you know you can buy that Ed Hardy bag without putting off rent, let's take a look at the necessary accessories for this winter.

Fur scarves

Fur is an excellent way to keep warm during the chilly winter months, and you'll look super cute bundled up in it. For those of you who feel a twinge of guilt about our furry little friends, there are plenty of faux fur options that will keep you feeling warm and looking cool too.

A Designer Handbag

Brand-name handbags aren't completely necessary, but every woman should own at least one in her lifetime. It might seem silly, but a certain pride goes along with being able to carry a bag by a big-name designer. Check out bags from Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade and Ed Hardy.

Boots

There's nothing worse than wet socks, and if you have to slog through the rain and snow, there's a good chance your feet will get soaked if you don't have a good pair of boots. These days it's easier than ever to find a pair that's both fashionable and warm, so you can still look like a million bucks and stay comfortable. I know, it's crazy!

Sunglasses

Sunglasses? In winter? Yes, sunglasses in winter. The sun still shines in the winter, which means it can shine right in your eyes. Get a pair of stylish shades that will match all your winter gear, and keep your eyes comfortably unblinded.

Luggage

It's the holiday season, which means you'll probably be traveling a lot (if you haven't been already). Invest in some quality (and quality-looking) luggage. Go with a fun color or pattern — this will make it all the easier when it's time to brave baggage claim and find your luggage.

Now that you have a wishlist of designer fashion accessories, drop a few hints to your friends and family, and let them know that you don't expect them to drop a week's salary on this stuff — a little gentle steering never hurt anyone.
