Cream chargers and soda chargers aren't just luxury items in a restaurateur's kitchen nowadays. This is considered as an extremely important kitchen tool. Firstly, bartenders need not stock a lot of expensive carbonated water and soda because they can make one and serve it fresh. This will save them storage space as well as extra cash. Chefs, on the other hand, waste several minutes and a lot of energy trying to whip the cream into stiff peaks for certain recipes. So many other things can be done if this tiring task is out of the way. You can definitely make use of this in your own kitchen- whether you're a food connoisseur or a novice in the field. You can cut back on time and effort and socialize with your guests instead. Here are some recipes for one meal where in you can use your soda charger or cream charger.

Appetizer: Vegetable Sticks and Cream Cheese Dip

Peel and slice carrots and cucumbers into thin strips (each the size of a finger). Blanch cauliflower and broccoli torn into bite-size pieces. Lay it all down in a nice, wide platter. Mix a quarter of a cup cream cheese and full whipping cream inside the cream charger canister. Add a dash of salt, pepper and half a teaspoon of sugar. Mix in chopped dill. After you are done dispensing the gas and shaking it vigorously, keep it chilled inside the refrigerator.

Appetizer: Cream and Potato Chowder

Chop three huge potatoes into small pieces and let it soften in five cups of chicken broth. Add green peas and corn kernels into the pot when the potatoes can be mashed easily. Season it with salt and pepper. You can also add a bit or dried rosemary. Put in two tablespoons of creamy butter. If you prepared extra whipped cream cheese dip from the recipe above, squirt in a generous amount into the chowder. This will make your appetizer extremely creamy.

Drinks: Fruit Punch Sangria

Mix half a cup of lemonade, a cup of water, a cup of ginger ale and two shots of apricot inside your soda charger. Let this mixture cool. Put eight wedges each of lime, lemon, orange, and peaches into a huge pitcher. Add a cup of thinly sliced strawberries. Place a bottle of really good red wine (any will do) and add the carbonated mixture you prepared earlier.

Dessert: Strawberries topped with Vanilla Yogurt

Mix half a cup of vanilla flavored yogurt and the similar measurement of heavy cream in the cream dispenser. If you prefer the low-fat variant, go for it. Add a tablespoon of sugar to make the mixture slightly sweet. Incorporate the gas slowly, shake it vigorously then chill. Slice large pieces of fresh strawberries and place in martini glasses. Dollop a generous amount of vanilla yogurt on top of the fruits and serve this to your guests.

There are so many things you can do with a soda or cream charger. If you are creative enough in the kitchen, you can come up with the best meals worthy to be served in a gourmet restaurant.
