What do you do if you are not making enough money with your job or profession? You have two choices here you can (1) cut all expenses so you could manage within your income, or (2) find a side business or occupation that would provide you with more money. Most people prefer the second option because it is almost impossible to cut down on expenses. One example of such a side business is DTP or desk-top-publishing. For best results, you need to use prepress equipment and CTP or (computer to plate) which is part of the latest prepress technology and involves the ability to transfer material directly from computer to printing plate. 1. Latest technology in important. Why is it important that you use the latest technology in your DTP business? Why not manage with the old and very well-known processes of the years past? You need to use the latest technology because people do not have the patience to wait for you to learn and catch up with modern technology. And if you do not give them the quality that they envisage in the present day, they will find another provider and your business will sooner than later collapse. 2. Adapt to new and modern ways fast. It is very important that you adapt to changes in technology as soon as your budget permits if you want to stay in business and prosper. When we talk about computer to printing press transfer technology, you can imagine how easy it would be to finalize a printing plate with such technology and how good would be the outcome. Can you afford not to have and use this technology if you want good orders for your business? 3. Keep learning. This is why, no matter what profession you are in or what side-business you are running, you should always seek out ways to learn more about your business, the technology applied, and skills necessary. It is best to attend seminars, conferences, research on the Net; take up certificate courses, in order to add to your knowledge. Be always hungry to know more about your business and how this is done better. You will always stay ahead of your competition if you have the information edge. 4. Experiment constantly. Many people study hard and become superb scholars; but when you put them in real life scenarios they are not able to stand their own -- why? Because they to not experiment with what they learned. Without experimentation they are unable to really transfer their knowledge from theory into practice. Therefore, keep experimenting; add to what you learn through practice. 5. Nothing is impossible. Always keep this in mind. What is preposterous today, tomorrow might be regular tasks. The human mind is capable of doing miracles. Whenever you think of something that would give you super results, but seems out-of-the-way or impossible, remember that nothing is impossible. You might not be able to do it today, but maybe if you pursue your idea well enough, you might discover something amazing tomorrow.
