How To Make Seasonal Updates To Your Shoe Wardrobe

It is common for people to buy some new outfits when the seasons change, but shoes are sometimes overlooked when putting together a seasonal wardrobe. If you want to update your shoe selection when you add other seasonal favorites to your closet, there are a few things you should consider. Certain times of the year mean certain shoes will be available. There are also better times to buy certain shoes than others because of price. Shoes last a long time and people usually do not change shoes sizes like they might changes pants and dress sizes, so you can invest in high-quality shoes at the end of one season for a fraction of the cost and still be able to wear the shoes the following year. The most important thing to do when shoe shopping is to find stylish options that are comfortable. Any foot doctor or expert in podiatry will tell you comfort is more important than style. The good news is; there are shoes that allow you to combine both for healthy, great looking shoes.

When the weather starts to warm up, thoughts go toward the beach and dressing in lightweight summer clothing. The best way to top off a great summer outfit is with a pair of stylish sandals. Sandals are usually a great bargain in footwear because they do not require a lot of materials to create. Sandals come in a wide variety and you can choose flip-flops for a casual look to go with shorts and jeans or you can opt for dress sandals that work well with dresses and may have higher heels.

As the leaves begin to change, you will want to get some updated fall shoes. Boots are one of the best things about cooler weather and there are often great sales on boots as summer turns to autumn. Choose warm colors like browns, deep oranges, and forest greens for an exciting pop of fall color. Boots can also be worn with a wide variety of outfits from dresses to jeans. If you have larger calves, opt for wider boots or buy a pair of booties that only come just past the ankle.

Winter is a great time to evaluate your sensible shoe wardrobe and update the shoes in your closet that are used for everyday wear. Winter snow boots are a must-have if you live in a climate that sees a lot of snow and precipitation. You can also use this season to choose sensible pumps or loafers to complement your work wardrobe. Most of the shoes in stores this time of year are in blacks, browns and navy blues, all great colors to accent your working wardrobe.

As winter draws to a close and spring arrives, thoughts turn to getting outside and enjoying the weather. This is a great time of year to invest in a new pair of sneakers for running, walking and other outdoor activities. The sooner you outfit your feet with a great pair of workout shoes, the sooner you will be out and about getting the exercise you need.
